Have been coming here for the past 4 consecutive days! would rate this as the best Banh in Hoi An followed by Banh Mi Phuong. The bread is truly crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The only place that serves Banh Mi with avocado. The prom and cheese (with avocado) was the best for me and my wife.

OUR MUST-GO BANH MI PLACE: They make the best vegan banh mi. We have checked out the most popular banh mi places, but we always come back to Phi. It is our favourite banh mi place in Hoi An. The owner is lovely. This service is quick. The owner's lizard is really cute!!!

Fantastic banh mi and great price! We ate the Vietnamese one, and we had to order a second one once we realised how good it was! The bread is the best we tried so far in Vietnam.

Better than some of the more famous Banh Mi shops in town, their chicken and egg, and tofu with avocado options strike a good balance in flavour, freshness and crunch. The rolls are also served hot, as well! Nice little joint. I think the Iguana's name was Danny.

By far the best Banh Mi I had in Vietnam!!! I’ve tried almost everything in their menu and they are all fantastic! They make their own chilli sauce which tastes amazing and every Banh Mi is served hot which really makes everything more flavourful!I’ve tried all the other famous Banh Mi places in Hoi An and plenty of others in Saigon, Da Lat and Hanoi but nothing compares to Phi Banh Mi! They have great options for vegan and vegetarians too. Also, the family who owns the business is very kind and friendly and their English is fantastic. Don’t leave Hoi An without having at least one Banh Mi at Phi Banh Mi!

Go traditional banh MI with cheese and avacado. Good place. Very good service and honest shop. Can pet the iguana when he isn't busy with customers if you ask also.

If the big boys Phuong and Madam Khanh are too busy, or if you simply want a great baguette sandwich at a local price from friendly people, then Phi is possibly the best option. A fully stuffed thap cam goes for 15k, which as of July 2020 that's half the price of Phuong or Khanh. Mind you, it's not quite up there in terms of deliciousness, but it's still better than most banh mi you'll get outside the Danang/Hoi An region, including some famous ones in Hanoi and Saigon.

Staff is good. I like the sauce but it was not best for me. It is good and price is reasonable.

Best Banh Mi I had in Hoi An without a doubt. There’s another spot in the old city with thousands of reviews but the Banh mi here blew that out of the water. Owner is incredibly friendly and his enormous lizard Danny is nice company for your lunch.

This is the type of shop you’d love to come to everyday! The traditional Vietnamese with avocado was delish - perfect balance of roast meat and herbs which lent it an earthy taste. I requested mine spicy and it certainly hit the spot. Mr Phi is very friendly and personable. He clearly takes great pride in his product. Simply superb.

I have been eating a lot of Banh mi. This is as good as any. The home made chilli sauce is great , just the right heat. The pets are nice too😁🙏

Cheap banh mi that tastes great. A little bit out of the way from the busy markets so that was nice too. Very quick service.

Good traditional banh mi and priced well. I ordered a spicy version and unfortunately it killed the herbs kick for me. Hence is a four star. Service is quick and efficient. The eat-in are is spacious and clean. Will be back to try the pork non-spicy version next time:)

I visited on a Tuesday at about 11:30. There was only one other couple there and they were already eating so we got served right away. No line and no wait! I ordered the traditional and the chicken plus a small water for about $2. The traditional with spicy sauce was my favorite.

Get the marinated chicken, add avocado and make it spicy🌶️. You won't regret it. Delicious and affordable báhn mì. My partner had the vegetarian sandwich with tofu and avocado which was also great. Will eat again for sure.

We came here so many times during our long stay in Hoi An. 20k for the traditional. 5k for avacado is definitely recommended. Also possible to add an egg. Family owned and super nice people. Family portraits all over the wall. Friendly iguana in the house.

Can't deny that the Banh Mi is very tasty. I think Madame Khan's edges ahead with their choice of fresh juices. Here, just water, coke and beer.

I had a lot of Banh Mis in Vietnam and these were the best ones.We ordered Chicken Banh Mi (Nr 8) with Avocado for 30.000 Dong each and it was amazing!!!The family running the bistro were extremely friendly they gave my baby son rice to eat and even fed them themselves on the family table so we were able to enjoy our meal

Really good and filling, I loved that I could choose avocado and tofu instead of the usual omelette they give to vegetarians. Very good sauce, too. I'd have given 5 stars if not for the banh mi place on the corner that probably had the best banh mi I have ever tried

Stopped in for a banh mi and got the pork, cheese, with egg added (should have read down the menu because the Phi special comes with egg and avocado). It was delicious. Arguably the best one I've had so far! The family was very nice too. I will definitely be back!

Best Banh Mi in Vietnam so far. Had the much hyped banh mi's in Ho Chi Mi and this is on a different level. Might not be the biggest, meatiest, greasiest one, but it is the tastiest, with a great balance of salt, acid, spice and umami. Get the traditional. Also, the extra avocado is worth it. Plus, super friendly staff and super cheap ($1)

Phi puts so much care into his Bánh Mì! We came at 7.30pm and he wasn't busy ,which is so so rare for him, so we got Bánh Mì within the first few minutes. I got the An chay (vegetarian one) with Avocado which is a treat! My boyfriend got the traditional one and we both loved it so much we got a second one each. If Phi is busy then please be patient because it's worth the wait!!! Everything is so fresh. If he asks you to wait while he hops on his bike it's because he is going to buy you fresh bread and will only be 1 minute. Phi is unbelievably friendly and will recommend some other places to go if you want to try some other local dishes. I wish we could bring Phi back with us!! This lovely new dad deserves all the praise he receives for his business.

This place does excellent baguette sandwiches. The Vietnamese pulled pork one was delicious. I had mine spicy with avocado - very morish. Had veggie option, and soft drinks and beer. Nice to have real bread again after several months in Asia.

Great banh mi! They offer a vegetarian version and you can get extra avocado!! I don’t like Koriander at all and they understood that right away and prepared one for me without Koriander. Highly recommend and will definitely go here again whilst in Hoi An! Also: the Iguana is a real highlight 😂 I didn’t believe he is real it first since he is so huge! Can’t deny that I had a lot of respect for him lol

I’ve had my fair share of banh mi in Vietnam thus far and this is by far, the best! Prices are reasonable and these little baguettes made by the owner packs a punch! You can also ask for spicy or non-spicy or a little bit spicy (like I did!). I also like how he warms up the bread which adds to the overall flavour. I had the traditional banh mi and the chicken banh mi and both tastes great.

DON'T GO IF YOU ARE ANIMAL LOVERWe were encouraged by the good reviews, sat inside, ordered vegetarian sandwiches and just then realised that next to us there is a small glass cage with a turtle, then we got our sandwich I looked left and noticed another small cage with huge iguana! I lost all my appetite! The cage was super small! This iguana could not ever turn around! We asked the lady, she have said sometimes iguana walks around the bar... Really??? This is a wild animal and deserve to be free in the wild. Animals should not be kept locked like some sort of toys!My day was ruined by this experience. Would never ever go back there again and would not recommend this place to anyone.Horrible people...

The shop looks the same as the others offering Bahn Mi - except its spotless clean and the meat is cooked to perfection. They extra crispy the rolls on these coals. My partner is vegetarian so she is happy with the avocado and more salad than the other shops. I am happy with the pork which is like perfection and the chickens pretty awesome too. I think all this writing is sending me back in the morning for another 2x for me and 2x for the misses. They are superb creations for real

As vegetarian vegan food lover this place is average but had a vegan option (tofu) which is nice. Taste isn’t anything special. Heard the meat banh mi is very good.

Our favourite banh mi in Vietnam! Has the right amount of extras to accompany the delicious meat and the coal oven warmed bread. Highly recommend the traditional if you like to keep it simple or the phi special if you like extra goodies. Very friendly owner as well, loves to joke around. We came back three times in three days! Help yourself to beer and admire the iguana.
